San Francisco singers Melissa Culross, '92, and Michael Byer pair sparkling conversation with songs from the 1960s to the early 2000s for an engaging "he said, she said" evening of music.
Melissa draws her musical inspiration from the new wave and alternative rock bands she listened to as a teenager, 60s pop and Motown, and San Francisco's local music scene. She honed her singing skills, in part, by singing along to the records she played on WBRU while on the air as a Brown undergraduate.
Audience participation by singing along to some of the more recognizable numbers is encouraged but by no means required.
Doors open at 5:30pm (show starts at 6:00pm). There is a $10 cover at the door. For more details, please visit www.barfluxus.com (note: the show will be added to the site on 11/1.)
